Renovation
Warwickshire
Planning permission and conservation consent were required to renovate and extend the property, set within a picturesque hill side village. The street façade is viewed as a single storey as you enter the drive way which sub-divides the site between development area and ancient woodland to the north. On the front elevation, oak strip windows are set within a limestone rubble in response to the adjacent series of Grade II listed early 18th century houses and thatched roof cottages.
As the site slops towards the rear, the lower ground level is unveiled, where openings increase to provide views across the secluded garden and down towards the stream. The articulated glazing set within a white render provides a minimal backdrop whilst bringing in ample natural light to the dwelling.
